Happy Ganesh Chaturthi 👑🙏
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated annually to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha, the God of new beginnings and a fresh start. The festival falls in the month of Bhadra, according to the Hindu calendar and in August/September according to the Gregorian calendar. This year 2020, the ten-day celebrations begins on the 22nd of August.✨
In 1893, the Indian freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak praised the celebration of Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav in his newspaper, Kesari, and dedicated his efforts to launch the annual domestic festival into a large, well-organised public event.
The god Ganesha is widely revered as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. Ganesha is immersed water, this symbolizes transfer of unwanted thoughts stored by Ganesha in our subconscious mind into the middle of our conscious mind, which is symbolized by water god Vishnu.
Best wishes and blessings over the 10 day celebrations. xo
